Privacy
This page explains what PoEGuru stores in your browser, what is sent to the server and when other services receive information.
Settings saved on your device
PoEGuru uses your browser's local storage to remember your theme, tool settings, campaign progress and named saved searches. These settings stay in that browser; they are not linked to a PoEGuru account or backed up to the cloud.
You can remove them by clearing PoEGuru's site data in your browser settings. This also removes your saved progress and searches, so export any saved searches you want to keep first.
Searches and Stash Lab
Most builder selections are combined into a search expression in your browser. Features that need server processing, including search compression and Stash Lab generation or matching, send the necessary search expression, item data or generation settings to PoEGuru's server.
Stash Lab keeps a limited cache of generated results in server memory to reuse recent generation requests. It is temporary and is not a personal saved stash or a cloud backup.
Share links include the settings or search needed to reopen an example. Anyone with the link can read those details, and the URL may appear in browser history or server logs. Keep personal information, passwords and other secrets out of searches, saved-search names, seeds and share links.
Hosting and operational information
When you visit PoEGuru, its hosting infrastructure receives connection information such as your IP address and the requested page or resource. Operational logs may record requests and errors to help run the site and investigate faults.
The production site uses Umami Analytics to understand page views, approximate unique visitors, referrers and selected actions such as copying a search or generating a Stash Lab batch. Analytics events contain event names only; they do not include search strings, saved-search names, seeds or item data. The tracker excludes URL queries and fragments and respects Do Not Track. See the Umami privacy policy for the service's handling of analytics data.
Buy Me a Coffee
The support widget loads third-party code and supporting resources from Buy Me a Coffee when a page loads, even if you do not open the widget. Those requests disclose connection information, such as your IP address, to that service.
Opening the widget loads an embedded Buy Me a Coffee page. Contributions and payment details are handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers. Its use of information, cookies and other storage is described in the Buy Me a Coffee privacy policy.
Discord reports and other external links
Discord and official news links take you to external services with their own privacy policies. The Discord icon itself is hosted by PoEGuru; displaying it does not load Discord content.
If you submit a report on Discord, the information you choose to share is handled by Discord and is visible to people who can access that channel. Public reports may include your Discord profile, messages, screenshots and shared searches. Remove personal information from screenshots and do not post sensitive details in public channels.
Privacy questions
To ask a privacy question or request removal of information you have shared with the project, email privacy@poeguru.com. The message opens with prompts for the details needed to handle your request; do not include passwords or other sensitive information.
For general community support, you can also join PoEGuru on Discord.
